Hohyun Yoon

My name is Hohyun Yoon. I received my PhD in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I will be joining University of Pennsylvania's Christopher H. Browne Center for International Politics as a postdoctoral fellow in Fall 2024. I specialize in International Relations with a focus on leader psychology and signaling. My dissertation investigates how leaders’ public expressions of anger during foreign policy crises shape bargaining dynamics, using both observational and experimental data. I am also broadly interested in international security, cooperation, and alliances. My work has appeared in the Journal of Conflict Resolution.

I received my MA in Political Science from UW-Madison and my BA in Public Policy from the University of Michigan.
